# Connect Mailchimp

> Connect Mailchimp with an API key so Ryze can read audiences, campaigns, automations, and reports.

Mailchimp connects with an **API key**. Once connected, the agent can read your audiences, campaigns, automations, and reports through the Marketing API.

## Step 1 — Create an API key

    In Mailchimp, go to **Account & billing → Extras → API keys**.

    Click **Create A Key** and copy it. The key ends with your datacenter, e.g. `-us21`.

## Step 2 — Connect in Ryze

In **Workspace Settings → Integrations**, click **Connect** on the **Mailchimp** card, paste the key into **API key**, and click **Continue**. Ryze reads the datacenter from the key suffix and shows your account name on the card.

## Troubleshooting

* **Key rejected** — copy the full key including the `-usXX` suffix; without it Ryze can't route to your datacenter.
* **Wrong account** — each key belongs to one Mailchimp account. Create the key while logged in to the account you want.
