# Getting started with Paid Ads

> Go through the Paid Ads setup chat step by step — your site, your ad platforms, your ad accounts — and see what to do first once you're set up.

When you start Paid Ads (it comes with a 7-day free trial), Ryze opens a short setup chat called **Getting started with Ads**. It takes a few minutes. If you left before finishing, open **Home** and click the **Finish Ads setup** card under **Finish setup**. Here's what the chat asks and what to do afterwards.

## The setup chat

<Steps>
  <Step title="How did you find us?">
    If Ryze doesn't know yet, the chat first asks how you heard about it. Pick an answer and move on.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Which site are we running ads for?">
    Enter your website's domain. Working on a client's site? Enter their domain. Ryze reads the site and shows what it understood: what your business sells, its industry and its market. Click **Yes, that's us**, or **No, let me fix it** to correct the details.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Where do you run ads today?">
    Pick the ad platforms you use — or **Not running ads yet**. Ryze only asks you to connect what you actually use.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect your ad accounts">
    Connect each platform you picked. Ryze then pulls spend, performance and creatives.

    Nothing in your accounts changes just because you connected them. Changes happen only when you ask the agent to do something in chat (they follow your **Tool approvals** setting, which is **Skip all approvals** by default), when you approve a proposal in your [Inbox](/agent/approvals), when a [scheduled task](/agent/schedules) you set up runs, or when you create a [Managed Campaign](/paid-ads/managed-campaigns).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Optional: Claude and your team">
    **Add to Claude** lets you use this workspace's tools from Claude — see [Claude](/claude/connect). Then invite teammates: they get full access to integrations, chat and Slack — see [Invite Teammates](/workspaces/invite-teammates). You can skip both and come back later.
  </Step>
</Steps>

When you're done, click the button at the end of the chat and your agent takes it from there.

## What to do next

* **Ask about your numbers.** Open a chat and try: "Pull the last 7 days of spend and break it down by campaign."
* **Check your Inbox.** Once your ad accounts are connected, the agent checks them several times a day on its own and sends proposed fixes to your [Inbox](/agent/approvals). Nothing is applied until you click **Approve**.
* **Put a weekly report on a schedule.** Use **Schedules** in the sidebar to get a weekly recap by email or Slack. See [Scheduled Tasks](/agent/schedules).
* **Create your first Managed Campaign.** Set a daily budget and a goal, and the agent builds, launches and reviews the campaign. See [Managed Campaigns](/paid-ads/managed-campaigns).
* **Install the Ryze Pixel.** One script on your site for web analytics and, if you choose, server-side conversions. See [Web Analytics & Ryze Pixel](/paid-ads/ryze-pixel).
