Connecting Shopify needs only your store domain. When it fails, it is almost always one of the following.

You entered the wrong domain

Ryze needs the .myshopify.com domain, not your custom domain.
Find it in your Shopify admin under Settings → Domains, listed as the store’s permanent domain.

The approval window did not open

A popup blocker is the usual cause. Allow popups for Ryze and retry from the Integrations page.

You lack permission to approve

Approving app access requires sufficient permissions on the Shopify store. If you are a staff account without app installation rights, the store owner or an admin must complete the approval.

The approval window reports an error

Retry once from the Integrations page — transient failures happen. If it persists, email support@get-ryze.ai with your store domain.

It connected, then showed as disconnected

Click Reconnect on the Shopify card and re-authorize. Access can be revoked by:
  • Uninstalling or reinstalling the app in Shopify
  • Changes to staff permissions
  • Store ownership transfer
  • Store plan changes or pausing
After reconnecting, start a new chat in Claude or ChatGPT. Existing chats do not pick up the change.

It shows connected but Ryze sees no data

Check, in order:
  1. Right store? If you manage several, confirm which is connected to this workspace.
  2. Products published? Products must be published to the Online Store sales channel to be visible.
  3. Store password-protected? A store behind a password cannot be crawled or audited.
  4. New chat started? This is the single most common cause of “it’s connected but nothing works”.

The assistant is reading the wrong store

Each connection is authorized against one workspace. If you manage several stores, confirm which workspace the chat is authorized against, and start a new chat when switching. See agency and multi-workspace.

Still stuck

Email support@get-ryze.ai with your .myshopify.com domain and what you saw. Include the error text if there was one.
