Mixpanel connects with a service account. Once connected, the agent can query events, segmentation, funnels, retention, saved Insights reports, and JQL for one Mixpanel project.

Step 1 — Create a service account

1

Add a service account

In Mixpanel, go to Organization Settings → Service Accounts → Add Service Account. Give it at least the Analyst role on the project you want to connect.
2

Copy the credentials

Copy the service account username and secret. The secret is shown only once.
3

Find the project details

Copy the Project ID from Project Settings → Overview (or the number after /project/ in the Mixpanel URL), and check where the project stores data under Project Settings → Data Residency.

Step 2 — Connect in Ryze

On the Integrations page, click Connect on the Mixpanel card and fill in:
  • Service account username
  • Service account secret
  • Project ID — numbers only, e.g. 3018123
  • Data residency — us, eu, or in, matching the project’s data residency
Click Continue.
After connecting, start a new chat so the agent picks up the new integration.

Troubleshooting

  • “Project ID must be numeric” — copy only the number, not the full URL.
  • Credentials rejected or no data — check that the service account has a role on this project and that Data residency matches the project.
