Slack connects with OAuth — you add the Ryze app to your Slack workspace and approve its permissions. After that, you talk to the agent right in Slack: mention it in a channel or send it a direct message, and it answers in a thread with the same tools and data it has in Ryze.

Connect in Ryze

Open Integrations

Go to Workspace Settings → Integrations and find the Slack card (under Messaging).

Click Connect and pick the Slack workspace

You’re sent to Slack. Pick the Slack workspace to install Ryze into and click Allow.
The card shows Connected with the Slack workspace name. One Slack workspace is tied to one Ryze workspace, so the agent answers from that workspace’s connected accounts.

Using the agent in Slack

  • Mention it in a channel — @Ryze AI how did Meta spend compare to last week? The agent replies in a thread under your message; keep asking in that thread and it keeps the context.
  • Direct message it — open a DM with Ryze and ask there; every DM is handled, no mention needed.
  • Attach images and PDFs — drop a screenshot or a PDF into your message and the agent reads it.
Invite the Ryze app to a channel before mentioning it there. For private channels, the app has to be added by a member.

Troubleshooting

  • No reply to a channel message — you didn’t mention @Ryze AI, or the app isn’t in that channel yet. Mention it, or DM it.
  • “Not in channel” — invite the Ryze AI app to the channel (/invite @Ryze AI) and try again.
  • Reconnect needed — the Slack app was removed or the install was revoked. Click Reconnect on the card.
