Mailchimp connects with an API key. Once connected, the agent can read your audiences, campaigns, automations, and reports through the Marketing API.

Step 1 — Create an API key

Open API keys

In Mailchimp, go to Account & billing → Extras → API keys.

Create a key

Click Create A Key and copy it. The key ends with your datacenter, e.g. -us21.

Step 2 — Connect in Ryze

In Workspace Settings → Integrations, click Connect on the Mailchimp card, paste the key into API key, and click Continue. Ryze reads the datacenter from the key suffix and shows your account name on the card.

Troubleshooting

  • Key rejected — copy the full key including the -usXX suffix; without it Ryze can’t route to your datacenter.
  • Wrong account — each key belongs to one Mailchimp account. Create the key while logged in to the account you want.
